Dr. Jimmy Wu is the founder of Toichi Pharmacometrics and Drug Development Consulting Services and he is also the founding manager of UC Davis PK/PD Bioanalytical Core Facility. He is specialized in HPLC and LC-MS/MS bioanalytical assay method development as well as PK/PD modeling. He has extensive experience working with UC Davis GMP facility, academic research labs and pharmaceutical companies around the nation to complete numerous translational medicine research projects, pre-clinical and clinical studies while steering the wheel of the Core Facility. Prior to this, he successfully developed a new drug screening platform that can discover druggable targets and their corresponding lead compounds simultaneously in a short period. He also studied small molecule-protein and protein–protein binding kinetics with GE Biacore 3000, a surface plasmon resonance (SPR) detection and measuring device. Besides analytical chemistry, Dr. Wu’s research expertise includes: cancer research, protein chemistry, molecular biology and microbiology, which provided an integrated, solid foundation to the various drug development projects he supported.
